The top one is looking back towards the Darn the second one is self explanitory and the third one is on the launch ramp looking left. They were all taken at the launch ramp on the North Fork of Pound.

it looks like there is still plenty of water to launch. i wish i had time to go tomorrow but there's the last minute Christmas shopping we have to do.

I'm not sure but I think this is the only launch ramp usable at winter pool. I know there is another ramp on South Fork but I've never seen it. South Fork is where all the elk are killed.

South fork has some good hunting up there.

I've heard that but I've never been there. I have a friend who live somwhere on South Fork and he told me I could hunt his property but I like to hunt closer to home.

Oops, I almost forgot. I drove up to the launch ramp again to day and talked to a couple of fellers that just came off the water. They said that there wasnt much action but were acting a little too tight lipped. It's kinda sad that you have to try to read between the lines when talking to fellow anglers but you cant stop the world from turning and you cant get some anglers to talk. Anyway, if the lake is dead (I find) people will say so. If it's hot they generally say somthing like "Not too good today, only caught 2" (arrogance dictates telling of at least 1 or 2 catches) by that you can either determine #1 they are telling the truth or #2 fishing is good.

Pound is one foot above winter pool now. Its deepest place is at the intake 55'. The surface temp is 43 F.
