Thick nasty stuff, muddy water no leader. Clear water 6 to 10 foot leader of Vanish.
Do not like it for top water....but will throw a fluke on it.
Hope this helps.

I use 50# Stren Super Braid for frogs and large topwaters.

Snoot it really handles quiet well. I am by no means a professional caster with a baitcasting setup. Once you get it tuned in you can cast it a mile with a flick of the wrist.

Like said earlier once it is broke in the better it handles. Usually takes two or three trips to get it right.

I have used the 40 lb before but belive it is over kill for most applications.

I still like my STREN BRAID. I've used it with jigs, shakey head, cranks. Haven't used a leader but was night fish'n with it. But for DAYTIME fish'n up here in clear water I would say I'd use a leader with flouro. Don't have to wait 2 or 3 trips to break it in. I t cast a mile straight from the spool.

snoot i really dont know maybe put it on my spinner bait rod i have heard some people like it on there spinner baits setup not for sure if i would need a leader or not.

If I am fishing real heavy cover like buck brush sometimes I will use 60lb spiderwire on my SB rod. Depends on how far back the fish are.

In my post above I said I did not like it for top water that is except when frog / horny toad fishing.

Well I used Power Pro for about two years and like it ok for what I used it for such as Frog Burning and heavy weeds. Then Sufix came out with their Braid and I went to it and tried it out. I am very pleased with it. I like the fact of the heavy lb lines and the much smaller diameters. I fish the 20lb -*test*-('") 6lb diameter on two of my bait casters and you can feel every pebble your bait touches and because of the smaller diameters you can fish alot of different applications with out the addition of the mono leaders. JMHO....... etnfishing/character0053.gif etnfishing/character0053.gif
