Nothing too special, but I like it and think it will do all I want it to for now. It ran great(just over 40mph with me and the owner and 1/2tank of gas), no rips/tears or excessive wear in the seats or carpet, everything seemed to work as it should(bilge, pumps, switches, TM, etc) no dents that I spotted anywhere....the worst place you can kinda see in the pics...someone has stepped on top of the fender and it bent it in just a tad, but no big deal. biggrin.gif

No, I'm not gonna bother pulling it all that way. I'm just gonna be nettin' for Dale. sad.gif

Bubba,

Glad you were able to find that boat ramp in Vonore. Beautiful place isn't it? I know it's pretty far out of the way for you to fish it regularly. Have not caught fish consistantly there but have had some excellent days on that end of Tellico. Checking my journal for 2007, we caught 48 bass and one crappie on 27 March (FLW pros were pre-fishing their tx) mostly around chunk rock and the bridges with tube-jigs and #5 ShadRaps (silver and black). Could've caught more but I had to get back home to watch the Lady Vols in March Madness!

I thought all along a good aluminum boat suited your needs better than a glass boat. My first boat was an aluminum Bass Tracker and it was a great starter boat. Aluminum boats are a lot more forgiving; you can live with a dent here and there more than a deep scratch/tear in glass. And, that G3 will get you into many more places to fish. Another bonus is it's lighter which equates to gas savings with running/towing. Easier to deal with at the ramp as well.

You did good! The waiting and shopping around paid off. Thanks for the pics. Now, we need some pics of fish in the new boat!!!

Yeah, Looked like a pretty nice area down there. If I would've bought the boat that day, I probably would've had to stay for awhile. biggrin.gif

But on the boat, I think an aluminum boat is good for me....being my first boat. Plus I like the fact that it's newer that the glass boats I was lookin' at. So when I make those "rookie" mistakes, it won't be ripping into fiberglass....just maybe dent the aluminum a little...haha. And like you said, it's lighter so that'll save on gas for towing, and the boat too. And of most of the aluminum boats i've seen....these seem to be the most overall well liked, and plus with it being the HP series its alot wider than say a tracker or something so it should be more stable, and also its got as big(wider) of front deck as the glass boats I had looked at. I think it'll do me just fine for no more than i'm wanting to do right now. And with it being a newer boat, if I ever decide to upgrade it still shouldn't be ancient. etnfishing/toast.gif

Nice looking boat Buba! Congrats

I'm a couple years off replacing mine and thinking I'll go aluminum the next time because of the towing expenses.

Hope you enjoy!

Great looking boat Bubba, I like the alum. rigs also. Plus like others have said towing and filling that 90 up won't break the bank, while getting you around plenty quick enough. Congratulations etnfishing/toast.gif etnfishing/toast.gif
