Maybe i just can't figure this place out... went today from daylight till 3 and expected a good bite, didn't happen caught 2 fish, both decent smallies, on the FNF. both before 9 then nothing the rest of the day. talked to one other guy and he only caught one. but it was good to get my buddy on a smallmouth today, we each had one. also got buzzed by an eagle and saw some swimming deer, beautiful sights. hope others did better on the fishing!
Beautiful pics! Those deer have got to be nuts swimmin as cold as it was this AM... The f-n-f should keep getting better, so don't give up... It really should be in full swing by the get together. Thanks for the report!
If you dont mind me asking, how deep were you fellas' fishing the fly?
caught em at 9 foot..... thanks for complimenting the pictures, new camera i got for christmas, got a waterproof one for kayaking, but works well on the lake too.
nice fish and those deer pics are really cool pictures i thought i seen one on SH years ago at a distance but wasnt for sure.
Thanks for the report,,,,,and the pics. Were those deer in Riddle Creek? It seemed like I saw deer every winter in Riddle Creek.

it was a cool thing to watch, i got to idle up close to em and took a good video of them. i've seen them swim in the nolichucky river close to my home, but never swim as far as these did. (probably about 400 or 500 yards.) also got to see an eagle fly low over our heads at daybreak...beautiful sight.
not sure Jtewes...don't really know soho at all.
